Should I take the GMAT?
One common question that comes up when physicians consider obtaining and MBA is whether or not they need to take the GMAT. The answer to that question is that it depends. Many programs, especially physician MBA programs and even the top executive programs will waive the GMAT. However, most full-time programs require the GMAT. Therefore it's best to check with the programs you are interested in applying to before deciding to spend the time and money to prepare for the GMAT. In addition, some schools are now accepting GRE scores in lieu of GMAT scores so it may be worth exploring that option as well.
